As an Ocularist with over 32 years of experience, I understand the great concern and time it will take to adjust, as well as the greater concern about their image and comfort. That is why I meticulously fit and paint each prosthesis to match its companion eye. Our goal and mission is to provide a service that is based on honesty and integrity of our work. Michael W. Boyd has been in the study and practice of providing quality custom made artificial eyes for over 32 years. He specialized in the Modified Impression Method, which was developed by Lee Allen in the early 1940’s. He has been providing services for Wake Forest University Center, Duke Eye Center, UNC School of Medicine, Dept. of Ophthalmology, The Virginia Eye Institute and over 200 Ophthalmologist over Southeastern States.
